Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to call for a report regarding water and power outages in some areas of the country during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year season.

The Prime Minister has informed the relevant authorities to provide a complete report regarding the matter.

The Government had taken a policy decision to provide power and water without disruptions during the New Year period.

Prime Minister’s Office had received a number of complaints associated with power and water disruptions in such backgrounds.

Wickremesinghe had ordered to prepare a report on the matter considering the complaints received.
