Alleged Kidney Racket: Suspects To Be Transferred To Colombo Remand Prison

The seven Indian suspects of the alleged kidney racket were today ordered to be transferred to the Colombo remand prison by Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris.

This order was given considering a request made by the CCD.

The CCD told the court that the Mirihana Detention camp does not provide adequate security and there is no authority to take responsibility in an event of a mishap.

The first suspect in the case, who escaped the camp, is still at large.
