Raviraj Murder: AG Seeks Court Order For Suspects To Be Remanded For Three Months

The Attorney General yesterday filed a request with the Colombo High Court to extend the remand custody of two suspects in the Nadaraja Raviraj murder case by three months, under article 17 of the Bail Act.

They are the only suspects who are currently in custody.

The Magisterial Inquiry recently concluded and the Magistrate determined that there was enough evidence for the suspects to be indicted. However, the indictment has not yet been filed.

Considering the request made by the AG, the Colombo High Court Judge Manilal Waidyathilake set the hearing on the request for April 25.
