May Rallies: Rajapaksa Camp Plans To Bring More Participants Than UNP From Hambantota

The Joint Opposition is likely to bring around 6000 people from Hambantota District for the Kirulapone May Rally on May 1.

They are to be provided transport in 164 buses.

Meanwhile, the UNP has planned to bring 5000 supporters from the District in 100 buses, UNP Provincial Councilor Lal Chandra said.

Sajith Premadasa is the principal UNP leader in the district. His father Ranasinghe Premadasa's death anniversary also falls on that day.

Hambantota is the stronghold of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The Joint Opposition supports him
