Anyone Has Right To Hold May Day Rallies: Samanmalee Sakalasuriya

Western Provincial Councilor Samanmalee Sakalasuriya said that if government imposes restrictions on people’s right to stage May Day celebrations, there was no point of calling it ‘good governance’.

She made this observation at a press conference of the joint opposition recently.

Not only laborers but professionals are oppressed now, Sakalasuriya said.

Furthermore, she said that it was pointless for young people to make loud noises in social media, without understanding the causes and causers of problems.
