Former MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardena challenged Pivithuru Hela Urumaya General Secretary Udaya Gammanpila for an open debate on who caused the defeat of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He made this challenge yesterday, giving a statement at his office in Balapitiya.

Sajin de Vass Gunawardena said that the best way to answer various accusations by Gammanpila against him was to debate them openly in a live TV debate.

Meanwhile, he maintained that he was fully cooperating with investigations on allegations against him.
