Anandasangaree Rejects Federal Solution

Tamil United Liberation Front leader, former MP V. Anandasangaree, said that the political party recently formed will reject a federal solution.

About 15 Tamil organizations including EPDP and EROS have expressed their support for the new party which was named, ‘Democratic Tamil National Front’, Anandasangaree said.

He also said that he would like to provide the opportunity to join the new party, which he formed by leaving Tamil National Alliance.

The DTNF is against the TNA’s call to request a federal system and to divide the country, although it is not against the TNA, Anandasangaree stated.

The DTNF would never request the federal system but a system where everyone in the country could live like brothers with equal rights, Anandasangaree stressed.

The new party expects to find solutions for the problems Tamil people are facing, and to provide relief to everyone who were affected by war, he said. Anandasangaree also stated that TNA has no claim to even use that name since they their politics dupe the Tamils.

Anandasangaree further stated that solving issues of rehabilitated LTTE youths is another purpose of the new party.
