Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa appeared before the Presidential Commission Investigating Fraud Corruption, Abuse of Power State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) a short while ago.

He was summoned to record  a statement on the alleged misuse of airplanes during the former government's era.

Rajapaksa had been summoned to the commission on April 18. However, he informed the commission in writing that he is unable to appear on that day since he was to be out of the country for medical treatment.
