Ex-IGP Victor Perera’s residence in Panadura was robbed last night, police said.

The robbers have made off with cash and jewellery valued about Rs. 1 million.

A security officer had been on guard duty at the front entrance to the house. Therefore, the police suspect that the thieves might have entered through the rear door.

Panadura Police are conducting further investigations.
