The NBRO warned of landslide threats in many areas across seven districts of the prevailing rains continue for another 24 hours.

Accordingly, locations across Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura, Kandy, Matale, Kalutara and Kurunegala districts have been named as landslide risk areas.

NBRO advices the public to take such warnings seriously.

Furthermore, even if warnings are not given, precautions should be taken if there is any risk, the NBRO said.
