A Malaysian woman was robbed by two individuals last night in Meetiyagoda, Galle District, police said.

The robbers threatened the woman with a sharp knife and made off with a laptop, three rings and two necklaces.

The value of the gold jewelry is estimated at Rs. 397,000.

The woman was living in a house she had rented and is said to be a writer.

Meetiyagoda police is conducting further investigations.
