Vijitha Herath Not Satisfied With Investigations On KP

JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath, through his lawyers, submitted to the Court of Appeals today that he was unsatisfied with the government's investigation in to allegations against former LTTE leader Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP.

This was informed to court when the writ petition application seeking an order to investigate the allegations against KP was taken up by the court.

Court of Appeal Judge Preethy Padman Surasena on May 9 directed the petitioner to inform court whether they wish to continue with the case, given that the AG had initiated investigations against KP.

The Attorney General had earlier this year furnished to the Court the progress reports on the investigation into KP's alleged involvement in the LTTE activities.

Following the submission by Herath, the court fixed the petition for support on July 25. The travel ban on KP was extended till July 26.
