The CID yesterday informed the Gangodawila Magistrate Court that they have named Thilina Gamage as a suspect for keeping an elephant calf in his possession without a valid license.

It was revealed on May 30 that the CID was yet to name him a suspect even though the AG had recommended it nearly three weeks ago.

The AG reprimanded the CID for not naming him a suspect.

Meanwhile, the anticipatory bail application filed by Gamage will be heard this afternoon at Gangodawila Magistrate's Court.
