President Maithripala Sirisena's Official Facebook Page exceeded one million Facebook 'likes' within 18 months of its launch.

It has merely a few hundred likes short of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Facebook Page. However, Rajapaksa's page was launched several years before Sirisena's page.

Sirisena's page was started in late 2014.

Furthermore, Namal Rajapaksa's Facebook Page has over 784,000 likes at present. The UNP politician with the largest number of followers in his Official Facebook Page is Ranjan Ramanayake, who has just passed the 500,000 mark.
