Sri Lanka Keen To Attract Saudi Prince Alwaleed’s Investments

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received a delegation led by Mohamed Azmi Thassim, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia, at the prince’s office in Riyadh. 

Hassna Alturki, executive manager for international relations to chairman, Fahad bin Nafel, senior executive assistant to the chairman and Ahmed Altobaishi, executive assistant to the prince, also attended the meeting.

This was Thassim's first meeting with the prince since he took post as Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia. 

During the meeting, the two discussed a number of social, economic issues and bilateral relations between their respective countries. 

Thassim also expressed his government’s desire to attract the prince’s investments to the country, and said that his government will strive to facilitate and overcome any difficulties or obstacles hindering the success of the prince’s investments. 

Moreover, on the agenda of discussions were the prince’s philanthropic donations to Sri Lanka through Alwaleed Philanthropies.
