Mahindananda Aluthgamage Sends Letters Of Demand To Ramanayake, Ananda Aluthgamage

UPFA MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage has sent letters of demand to Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake and UNP MP Ananda Aluthgamage demanding Rs 500 million each in damages.

The letters of demand have been sent in relation to allegations made by the two UNP MPs yesterday regarding a defender with forged number plates.

Speaking at a press conference convened in Madiwela yesterday, Ramanayake said that the Department of Motor Traffic could not give details of a vehicle with the number plate in the defender.

He added that there was a suspicion if this vehicle was used for some illegal activity.

Meanwhile, UNP MP Ananda Aluthgamage, who also took part in the press conference, claimed that he was well aware of the vehicle.

Ramanayake and Mahindananda Aluthgamage exchanged blows yesterday outside the Parliamentary Chamber regarding the said allegations.
