The Ukrainian Captain of the Avant-Garde ship in Galle Harbour was remanded till July 5 by the Galle Magistrate's Court today.

He was arrested last evening by the CID.

He was arrested for allegedly bringing down weapons to the country illegally and the illegal possession of weapons and explosives.
