Auditor General's Report On Central Bank Bond Issue Handed Over To COPE, Speaker

The Auditor General's report on the controversial Central Bank bond issue was handed over to the Committee of Public Enterprise (COPE) and the Speaker.

The 1251 page report has been sent to all COPE members and the committee will meet on July 5 to discuss the content.

Meanwhile, Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, who stands accused of insider trading during the controversial bond issue on February 27, 2015, has been summoned to the COPE on July 7.

Mahendran is expected to be replaced once his term ends tomorrow (June 30).
