The COPE will be meeting at the Parliamentary Complex to continue its investigation into the controversial bond issue at the Central Bank.

It had earlier summoned the former CBSL Governor Arjuna Mahendran and the administration for a meeting today.

Mahendran was faulted for lack of professional judgement by the Auditor General in his report into the bond issues in February 2015 and March 2016. Meanwhile the administration of the bank was also blamed for the failure to prevent avoidable losses during the bond issues.
