Former LTTE Media Spokesman Daya Master Issued Summons By Court

Former LTTE media spokesman Daya Master was issued summons to appear at Vavuniya Magistrate Court on August 10 for the inquiry of a case filed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act against him.

Daya Master revealed that he has received summons on 08th and the lawsuit starts on 10th.  

Magisterial inquiries had been launched against both Daya Master and LTTE Translator George Master earlier.

Before joining the LTTE Daya Master served as an English teacher and as a close acquaintance of LTTE’s chief political strategist Anton Balasingham, started working as a translator for the organization.

Later worked as the media officer for a long time and then became the media spokesman. At the last stage of the war, he surrendered to the security forces.
