Veteran photojournalist Srilal Gomes passed away at the age of 61.

He was a photojournalist for several newspapers and was also the media secretary to several ministries.

His book "thiththa rasa" focusing on his career spanning 35 years was to be released on August 25.

His funeral will be held at the Sapugaskanda Roman Catholic Cemetry on Saturday.
