Thirteen Chinese Nationals Ordered To Leave Country Over Tour Guiding Racket

Thirteen Chinese nationals aged under 20 were ordered to leave the country by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya for engaging in business activities while on tourist visas.

The Chinese were allegedly involved in tour guiding for Chinese tourists in the country. This organized racket had been conducted through an institution in Bambalapitiya. A Sri Lankan who allegedly operated the racket was arrested and produced before the court while the 13 Chinese appeared on summons.

The Chinese informed court that they had already booked tickets to leave the country. The Chief Magistrate ordered them to leave and released the sri Lankan on bail.
