Thajudeen Murder: SAITM VC Sends Letter Of Demand To Colombo Chief JMO

SAITM Vice Chancellor and former Colombo Chief JMO Ananda Samarasekara has sent a Letter of Demand to the current Colombo JMO Ajith Tennakoon, demanding damages to his reputation and good name allegedly caused by a statement by Tennakoon to a newspaper.

Accordingly, Samarasekara says that his reputation is tarnished by an interview given to the Daily Mirror by Tennakoon, published under the title "Thajudeen Murder: Then a mystery, still a mystery" on August 10, 2016.

Samarasekara says that the statement has been given in the malicious intention of defaming him. He demands Rs 250 million as damages within a week and says that he will file legal action in the failure to pay the damages.
