Yoshitha Rajapaksa's Grandmother Appears Before Court On Notice

Daisy Forrest, a grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, appeared before Colombo Magistrate Courts on notice today and was released on a personal bond.

The FCID had informed court earlier that she had not appeared before them despite repeated summons, to record a statement on a property allegedly belonging to Yoshitha Rajapaksa. The court issued notice upon which she appeared today before Additional Magistrate Augusta Atapattu.

Forrest's lawyers said that she could not appear before FCID due to health reasons. However, the FCID was informed of the situation beforehand, they said.

She was released after giving an undertaking to appear before the FCID on August 31.
