Two good governance government ministers have been removed as defendants in the case filed by the Sri Lanka Transport Board in the Commercial High Court over the default of payment of Rs 142 million.
The original case filed in August 2015 had seven defendants namely former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the former UPFA General Secretaty Susil Premajayantha, former SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Gamini Senarath, Amal Senadhilankara, the UPFA and the SLFP.
The SLTB said that the respondents of the case had defaulted the payment of this amount of money which was due to the SLTB for hiring buses during the 2015 Presidential Election campaign.
