Two Buddha statues have been destroyed in Kanakarayankulam, Mankulam, by unidentified persons, last night.

The Buddha statues had been placed near the A-9 road by the security forces and STF after the end of the war.

One statue is three and a half feet high and the other is one and a half feet in height.

Police is conducting further investigations.
