Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris today allowed the Colombo Crime Division to detain seven suspects in connection with the abduction and murder of businessman Mohammed Suleiman for 48 hours for questioning.

Two of the suspects were arrested yesterday and five others were arrested along with a vehicle later.

Suleiman, a businessman from Bambalapitiya, was abducted on the night of August 21 near his residence and was later found murdered.
