Visiting United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon met the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, and the Party leaders this morning at Hilton Colombo.

Leader of House Lakshman Kiriella, Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala, Ministers Nimal Siripala De Silva and Rauf Hakeem, MP Douglas Devanada, and MP E. Saravanabawan also participated.

Sri Lankan diplomats apprised the UN Secretary General regarding the recently passed Acts, proceedings of the Constitutional Council, independent commissions, and the sectoral committees.

The UN chief commended the number of activities that have been done by the new Parliament within a short period.
