Uva Province Minister Senthil Thondaman appeared before the Hatton Magistrate's Court today over an incident in 2013 where he had blocked the way of the vehicle of Palani Digambaran during the 2013 provincial council election.

Hatton Magistrate Prasad Liyanage issued warrants on Muththaia Ramasamy, a former Central Provincial Council member, for failing to appear in court. Meanwhile, Digambaran's lawyers informed that he was unable to appear before court due to a Cabinet meeting.

The two sides agreed to settle the matter pertaining to the 2013 incident. The Magisterial inquiry was fixed for next hearing on September 26.
