Former MP and former Chairman of Development Lotteries Board Sarana Gunawardena was issued notice by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya to appear before court on October 26.

He was issued notice regarding the cases filed by the bribery Commission on the non-declaration of assets and liabilities when he was the Chairman during the 2006-2007 period.

Gunawardena also faces nine other cases on alleged financial fraud in renting vehicles during his term as Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board.
