FCID are conducting investigations on Wimal Weerawansa for allegedly misusing around 40 vehicles of the State Engineering Corporation and misappropriating Rs 41 million, during the era of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government.

This was reported to the Fort Magistrate's Court by the FCID through a B report yesterday

It is alleged that Weerawansa had allowed his staff members to use vehicles which had been rented by the Corporation.

The Fort Magistrate ordered the FCID to report the progress of the investigations to the court.
