Decision On Yoshitha Rajapaksa's Request To Travel Abroad Fixed For Next Week

September 22, 2016

Colombo High Court Judge A.A.R. Heyiyanthuduwa fixed the decision on permitting Yoshitha Rajapaksa to leave the country for medical treatment for September 28.

Rajapaksa informed court that he has to undergo medical treatment in Melbourne due to requirements of the national rugby squad.

He requested to be abroad for a month.

The Attorney General objected to the request.

The Judge told both parties to present their arguments on September 28 and said that the decision will be delivered on the same day after hearing the arguments.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa's passport has been impounded over the CSN case for which he was arrested on January 30. He was released on bail in March.
