Rajapaksa's Former Security Official Granted Bail In Corruption Cases

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's security official Major Neville Wanniarachchi was granted bail by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya over five cases filed by the Bribery Commission.

He is accused of not declaring the assets and liabilities for the years 2010 to 2014. Five cases have been filed for the failure to submit the details in each year.

Wanniarachchi was released on a cash bail of Rs 10,000 and two sureties of Rs 1 million each for each of the cases.
