Bambalapitiya Businessman's Murder: GPS Technology To Assist Investigations

Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris today ordered the Moratuwa University to submit a report on the wherabouts of the nine suspects and the vehicle used in the abduction and murder of a businessman of Bambalapitiya using GPS technology with aid of the mobile phones of the suspects.

The Additional Magistrate remanded the nine suspects further till October 13, rejecting their bail applications. The court is unable to release them on bail since they were suspects in a murder case, the Magistrate said.

Colombo Crime Division also told court that the order of the post mortem of businessman Mohommad Suleiman will be delivered on October 5.

Suleiman was abducted on the night of August 21. His body was found later from the Mawanella area.
