No Complaint On Daham Sirisena's Alleged Attack On Clique Club, Police Unable To Launch Investigation

No police complaint has been filed over the attack on 'Cliqu' Club in the early hours of Saturday, police sources said.

Therefore, the police are unable to launch any investigation on the matter. The police cannot initiate an investigation without a complaint.

The attack on the club, which was allegedly led by President Maithripala Sirisena's son Daham, took place at around 2.00 to 2.30 a.m. on Saturday. It was said to have been caused by the club's decision to deny entry to the group led by the young Sirisena.

However, the club later denied that the President's son was involved in the attack.

It is unclear as to why Clique Club has not filed a police complaint on the incident. Whether Daham Sirisena was involved or not, the attack on the club damaged property and injured one guard who was hospitalized.
