Former Chairman of Hilton Colombo Thirukumar Nadesan was arrested by the FCID after he appeared before them to provide a statement regarding the land in Malwana which was allegedly owned by former minister Basil Rajapaksa.

Basil Rajapaksa recently informed the Puguda Magistrate that the land is not his.

Nadesan is the husband of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's niece Nirupama Rajapaksa.
