Dilrukshi Wickramasinghe Resumes Work As ASG: Reiterates President's Speech Made Her Resign

Former Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe resumed work as an Additional Solicitor General, the post she held before being appointed as Bribery Commission DG.

Wickramasinghe's resignation was accepted yesterday by the President.

Co-Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne lashed out at the former DG yesterday, defending the President's decision and accusing her of messing up investigations on large scale corruption charges against former President Rajapaksa's family.

However, Wickramasinghe has said that it was the President's speech on October 12 which made her resign.

The President hit out at the commission for taking three former navy commanders to court.
