Former Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunaratne, who was arrested earlier today, was remanded till November 1.

He was arrested in connection with an accident in 2002.

Gunarate was the Deputy Minister of Fisheries in the former government of Mahinda Rajapaksa.
