Co-Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said yesterday that the 'Aava' gang operating in the north was the creation of former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

He also claimed that the 'Aava' gang was receiving its orders from those who created it in the first place.

Senaratne also added that the gang will be controlld and that its members will be arrested in near future.

There is no one who can stop them being arrested, he said.

The 'Aava' gang came to the limelight recently when they claimed the responsibility for attacking two policemen in Chunnakam, Jaffna.
