Traffic Police Given Total Power: Six Offenses Now Carry Minimum Fine Of Rs 25,000

The government has increased the minimum fine for traffic offenses to Rs 25,000 for six offenses, effectively giving maximum power to traffic police.

The six offenses are drunk driving, speeding, driving without a license, driving an uninsured vehicle, overtaking from the left hand side and driving through a rail gate irresponsibly.
