Weapon Given From Army To Karuna Faction Used In Raviraj Murder, Court Informed

A weapon issued to the Karuna Faction from the Giritale Army Camp had been used in the murder of former MP Nadarajah Raviraj, the Attorney General informed Colombo High Court today.

This was said in his initial submission in the Raviraj murder trial hearing before a seven member special jury with Judge Manilal Waidyathilake presiding.

Interestingly, six of the seven members in the jury are women.

Three of the six accused are in court and the others are absconding.

The hearing will resume tomorrow.
