Chairman of the State Trading Corporation Pradeep Gunawardena has been appointed as the SLFP Organizer for Colombo - East electorate by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. 

 

Gunawardena accepted his letter of appointment from President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees a few days ago. 

 

Pradeep Gunawaedena has been working as the Chairman of the State Trading Corporation since 2008. Previously he was the Sri Lankan Consul General to the California state in the US. 

 

Meanwhile, ruling party sources told Asian Mirror that several new electorate organizers will be appointed in the coming weeks ahead of a possible national level election. 

 

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party has also embarked on a island wide restructuring programme to strengthen the party mechanism to face any national level election at any moment. The restructuring process of the party's youth wing is overlooked by Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa who is also the Chairman of the 'Tharunyayata Hetak' organization. 

 

Parallel to that, seniors of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party have launched another programme to restructure the party at the district level.
