NCP Ambulance Drivers Call Off Strike After Nine Days

After 9 days, North Central Province Health Service Ambulance and Transport Drivers Association has ended its strike action.

Chairman of the association, Wasantha Kumara said that the strike was called off after Rajitha Senarathne, Minister of Health assured solutions would be provided to the issues faced by Health service officials in the North Central Province.

The strike was launched on 21st of December in opposition of the decision to recruit Health service drivers to the Provincial Ministry.

In support of the Association, Ambulance drivers island-wide joined the strike action.
