Sarath Kumara Gunaratne, former Deputy Minister has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today.

He was arrested following a statement obtained from him on the alleged misappropriation of funds of the Negombo lagoon development project.

Former Deputy Minister Gunaratne to be produced before the Court today.
