Anura Senanayake, former Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police and Sumith Perera, former Officer in Charge of the Crimes Unit of the Narahenpita Police have been further remanded till the 2nd of February.
This was regarding the charges of concealing evidence in the murder case of National rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.
The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate.
Deputy Solicitor General Dilantha Ratnayake requested the Colombo Additional Magistrate to hand over the CCTV footage obtained in the Narahenpita area on the day of the murder to be handed over to the University of Colombo for inspections at the court today.
The Colombo Additional Magistrate Jerome consented the request.
