The Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) has informed the judiciary that the Attorney General has informed that this land sited in Malwane will be utilized for public welfare. A motion with respect to this case was presented to the Pugoda Magistrate’s Court today.
The auctioning of this land was to have taken place on the 29th of this month. Pugoda Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura ordered the suspension of this auction. The Magistrate said that the ruling with respect to the land would be announced on the 23rd of this month.
The land with an extent of 16 acres is valued at 208 million rupees.
