With questions looming large over the consistency of the Sri Lankan national cricket team's performance, it has now been revealed that over 40 players have played One Day Internationals for Sri Lanka, since 2015. 

The number of players who have represented Sri Lanka over the past two years shows the rapidity with which the Sri Lankan selectors have rotated the players. 

This has been cited by many cricket experts, including Dean Johns and Russel Arnold, as one of the key reasons for Sri Lanka's declining performance. 

As a result of this rapid rotation, they point out, the Sri Lankan players do not have time to settle down in the game and consolidate their positions in the team. 

Sri Lanka made three changes for the second ODI against Bangladesh, in Dambulla, which is currently underway. 

Dilruwan Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara and Nuwan Pradeep came into the team today, in place of Lahiru Kumara, Lakshan Sandakan and Sachith Pathirana. Bangladesh, on the other hand, went in with the same XI that won the first ODI by 90 runs.

Sri Lanka has made changes to the team in every match during the last three ODI tournaments it played.
