Former parliamentarian Duminda Silva was fined Rs. 3, 000 for the non-declaration of his assets during the three years he was Member of Parliament.

The Bribery Commission filed the case against the former Parliamentarian before the Colombo Magistrate. 

When the case was taken up for hearing, Duminda Silva pleaded guilty. 

The former parliamentarian is currently serving a death sentence for his role in the killing of parliamentarian Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.

He was formerly the Monitoring MP of the Ministry of Defence.
