A committee headed by a judge will be appointed next week to report facts regarding future avoidance of disasters like at Meethotamulla, the President said today.

He was addressing a meeting with media heads in Colombo.

Thirty-two lives were lost in the Meethotamulla disaster that took place on Friday (14). 

Several more are still missing and tri-forces troops are still on the ground search through garbage and debris for survivors.
