President Extends Term Of Presidential Commission Inquiring Bond Issue

President Maithripala Sirisena has extended the term limit of the Presidential Commission appointed to inquire into the Central Bank’s Treasury bond issue.

Thereby, the term on the Presidential Commission has been extended by three months; from April 27th to June 27th.

The Presidential Commission was set up by the President to investigate the bond issue on January 27th.

The Commission comprises Supreme Court Judges Kankanithanthri T. Chitrasiri, Prasanna Sujeewa Jayawardena and former Deputy Auditor General Kandasamy Velupillai.
